The severe thunderstorm that was effective in Istanbul in the early morning hours negatively affected traffic in different parts of the city. In two separate chain-reaction traffic accidents that occurred in Esenyurt and Üsküdar, a total of 10 people were injured and taken to the hospital.

11 VEHICLES COLLIDED IN ESENYURT
The slippery ground caused by the sudden downpour in the morning hours led to a major chain-reaction accident on the Avcılar Haramidere TEM Highway O-3 connection road in Esenyurt. In the accident, where exactly 11 vehicles that went out of control collided with each other, 6 people in the vehicles were injured. Upon the notification of nearby drivers, numerous health, police, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the region.
ACCIDENT AT UZUNCAYIR LOCATION IN USKUDAR
A similar situation occurred on the Anatolian side of the city. In the chain-reaction traffic accident involving 3 vehicles at the Uskudar Uzuncayir location, 4 people were injured. After the initial interventions by the teams at the scene, a total of 10 people injured in both accidents were taken to nearby hospitals by ambulances and received treatment.
