HEAVY RAIN DISRUPTED LIFE
Following the warning from the General Directorate of Meteorology, heavy rain was effective in Antakya and İskenderun districts during the afternoon hours. Many streets and avenues in the district center and in the İsmet İnönü and Mustafa Kemal neighborhoods turned into lakes. While there were disruptions in traffic, single-story houses and businesses were flooded. Citizens drained the water that filled their homes and businesses with their own means. Teams also supported the drainage efforts.

Due to the effective rain in the central Antakya district of Hatay, some streets turned into lakes. Drivers had difficulty moving forward with their vehicles. The channels in the district center were also filled with water.
