With the announcement of June inflation by TÜİK, the July raise for millions of civil servants and retirees has been finalized. SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees will receive a 17.75 percent increase, while civil servants and retired civil servants will receive a 13.51 percent raise. The minimum retirement pension will also rise to 23,550 lira.
RAISE RATES ANNOUNCED
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced June inflation as 0.99 percent. Thus, the July salary raises awaited by millions of civil servants and retirees have become clear.
According to the announced data, SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees will receive a 17.75 percent increase in their salaries for July.
The raise rate for civil servants and retired civil servants' salaries has been finalized at 13.51 percent.
MINIMUM RETIREMENT PENSION WILL RISE TO 23,550 TL
While it was decided not to give a welfare share to retirees this year, only the six-month inflation difference will be reflected in the minimum retirement pension.
The minimum retirement pension, currently applied as 20,000 lira, is planned to be increased to 23,550 lira with a 17.75 percent raise.
REGULATION TO COME TO THE PARLIAMENT
For the increase in the minimum retirement pension to take effect, the regulation is expected to be added to the omnibus bill to be submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in the coming days.
Following the approval of the legal regulation, new salaries will be implemented as of July.
