The cost of welcoming the new year in Uludağ, which is described as a 'white paradise' by ski enthusiasts, reaches 22 thousand lira per person.
The package program for a family of 4, which includes accommodation, meals, and the New Year's ball, costs 88 thousand lira. It has been reported that the occupancy rate of hotels in Uludağ, where final preparations are being made before the New Year, has reached 75 percent.
"MORE INTENSE COMPARED TO LAST YEAR"
Berk Söz, a marketing manager of a hotel, stated that they expect effective snowfall in Uludağ throughout the weekend, saying, "We started the season with a good occupancy rate. Our New Year's preparations are ongoing. There will be various DJ performances and activities on New Year's Eve. We will enter the new year with dance and fireworks shows. Our demands are more intense compared to last year. We expect the occupancy rate to reach 100 percent on New Year's. Currently, our hotel is 75 percent full for New Year's Eve," he said.
SNOW DEPTH REACHED 12 CENTIMETERS
On the other hand, the snow depth in Uludağ was measured at 6 centimeters yesterday, while snowfall was effective throughout the night in the region. After the precipitation, the snow depth reached 12 centimeters. The summit of Uludağ was also covered in snow, and at times, blizzards were effective in the area.
