Kalın stated that with the "Terror-Free Turkey" process, Turkey will be taken to a much more advanced point and that the goal of a "Terror-Free Turkey" is being approached step by step. He expressed, "Today, as we open up to the world with self-confidence, we need to remember our multifaceted identity. Just as being local and national does not mean closing ourselves off from the world, opening up to the world does not mean abandoning our essence, our roots, and our source."
"NOW THERE IS A TURKEY THAT SHAPES THE FLOW OF HISTORY, NOT JUST WATCHES IT BY THE WATER'S EDGE"
MIT President Kalın noted that the emphasis on being local and national is one of the most important moves Turkey has made in recent years to stand on its own feet. He conveyed that Turkey is active in foreign policy due to the current context and drew attention to the developments in the region where Turkey is located.
Kalın expressed that if Turkey can stabilize its feet on solid ground without closing in on itself and without losing its internal dynamism, it has a very bright future. He noted that this change will move to the next stage with the participation and contribution of society, minds, individuals, intellectuals, artists, and opinion leaders, stating, "Now there is a Turkey that shapes the flow of history, not just watches it by the water's edge."
