Syrian President Ahmed Shara has appointed Interior Minister Anas Khattab as the Director of the National Security Office, while naming Abdulqader Tahhan as the head of the General Intelligence Directorate. Additionally, Mulhem Shintut has been appointed as Deputy Minister for Security Affairs.
Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shara has made high-level appointments in security and intelligence institutions.
NEW DUTY FOR THE INTERIOR MINISTER
According to the Syrian state news agency SANA, Al-Shara appointed Interior Minister Enes Hattab as the Director of the National Security Office in addition to his current role.
CHANGE IN INTELLIGENCE ORGANIZATION
Al-Shara appointed General Intelligence Chief Hussein Selame as Deputy Director of the National Security Office, while replacing Selame with Abdulkadir Tahhan as the head of the General Intelligence Organization.
Under the decree issued by President Al-Shara, Mulhem Shintut was also appointed as Deputy Minister of Interior responsible for Security Affairs.
