Iran hit an electricity and water treatment plant in Kuwait once again with missiles and kamikaze drones. After the attack, power generation facilities were disabled, and a large-scale fire broke out.
The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy of Kuwait announced that power generation plants were damaged in attacks by Iran on electricity and water treatment facilities, described as "the second time in the last two days."
FIRE BROKE OUT AFTER THE ATTACK
In a statement published on the account of the US-based company X, the Ministry stated that the electricity generation and water treatment facility was targeted for the second time in two days during the Iranian attacks. It was reported that the attacks caused fires in some parts of the facility and affected numerous electricity generation units.
It was noted that emergency plans needed to be activated and immediate intervention was required to limit the effects of the attack and protect the electrical system.
It was stated that firefighting teams continue their efforts to contain the fire, and technical teams affiliated with the Ministry, in coordination with security units, have begun implementing necessary technical and precautionary measures to ensure the facility's safety, assess the damage, and restore the affected units to service as quickly as possible.
POWER OUTAGES OCCURRING
The Ministry announced that following the attacks, a technical failure at the main electrical transformer substation caused power outages in some parts of the Hittin region.
The statement noted that the fault led to power outages in two areas. It was indicated that the Ministry's emergency response teams are continuing their work in the region, and efforts are ongoing to restore electrical current as soon as possible.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy of Kuwait announced that two separate electricity generation and water treatment facilities were targeted in the Iranian attacks, fires broke out at the facilities, and some production units were shut down as a precautionary measure.
