30-year-old Argentine fan Sumon Hossain, who lives in Bangladesh, was found dead at home after the World Cup final. While local media suggested that Hossain took his own life because he couldn't accept Argentina's defeat, the police stated that the exact cause of death has not yet been determined and that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Sumon Hossain, a 30-year-old resident of Bheramara sub-district in Bangladesh's Kushtia region, was found dead at his home after the World Cup final.

According to local media reports, Hossain returned home late at night after watching the final match between Argentina and Spain outside. It is alleged that he argued with his wife due to his late arrival.

ALLEGEDLY COULD NOT BEAR ARGENTINA'S DEFEAT

Some posts following the incident claimed that Hossain, described as a die-hard Argentina fan, could not accept his team's defeat in the World Cup final and thus took his own life.

However, local sources did not provide confirmed information directly linking Hossain's death to the match result. It was also noted that the young man's name, reported as "Simon Hüseyin" in some outlets, appeared as Sumon Hossain in local news.

POLICE LAUNCH INVESTIGATION

In the initial examination by police, it was considered that the incident might be a suicide, but the exact cause of death and the circumstances behind the event have not yet been determined. The investigation is ongoing.

Although some posts claimed Hossain was married and had two children, no verified details about him having two children were found in the reviewed local news reports.
