Galatasaray became the highest-earning Turkish club by generating $2 million (approximately 94.4 million TL) in revenue from FIFA, thanks to 10 players they sent to the 2026 World Cup, which concluded with Spain's championship.
The major tournament held between June 11 and July 19 also filled the coffers of the clubs. Teams that sent players to the tournament, where Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 in the final to claim the cup, received payments based on the time the footballers spent in the tournament under the FIFA Club Benefits Program.
YELLOW-REDS RANK 19TH IN THE WORLD
According to a report prepared by The Athletic; Galatasaray, which sent a total of 10 players to the tournament—5 from the Turkish National Team and 5 foreign players—managed to become the club receiving the largest share from Turkey.
The yellow-red club's squad of players sent to the tournament included the following names:

- Yunus Akgün
- Kaan Ayhan

With a revenue of $2 million generated from these players' playing time, Galatasaray ranked 19th among clubs worldwide.

In the list topped by Galatasaray in Turkey, Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş also received their share from the tournament. Globally, English giant Manchester City became the club with the highest revenue by a wide margin.
