The funeral of the father and son, who were killed by gunfire in a fight that broke out over a debt dispute in Adana, was held. The mother, who survived the incident wounded, attended the funeral ceremony in a wheelchair.
The incident occurred yesterday at around 17:25 at a workplace on Turgut Özal Boulevard in the Belediye Evleri neighborhood of the central Çukurova district.
GUNNED DOWN A FAMILY According to the claim, Mehmet Nuri A. (46), who came to the workplace, shot Aytekin Fil (53) and his wife Neslihan Fil (48) with a pistol due to a debt dispute. During the incident, the couple's son Sinan Fil (30), who intervened with the suspect, got into the car used by the suspect as he was fleeing. Thereupon, Mehmet Nuri A. shot Sinan Fil in the head with a gun. The suspect then abandoned the car with plate 01 BT 263 in Gürselpaşa neighborhood and fled.

It was determined that Sinan Fil, whom the suspect shot in the car, lost his life. Aytekin Fil, who was taken to the hospital, also died despite all interventions. Mother Fil was discharged from the hospital where she was treated for her wounds today.
THE MOST PAINFUL FAREWELL After the procedures at the Adana Forensic Medicine Institute were completed, the bodies of Aytekin Fil and Sinan Fil were handed over to their family, and their relatives burst into tears. After receiving the bodies, the father and son were brought to Kabasakal cemetery and buried side by side following the funeral prayer. Mother Neslihan Fil attended the funeral in a wheelchair, while relatives struggled to stand.
Following the incident, teams from the Homicide Bureau Office under the Public Order Branch Directorate took the suspect Mehmet Nuri A. into custody. It was learned that the suspect's interrogation at the police station is ongoing.
