FIFA announced that Leandro Paredes, one of the Argentine players who attacked Spanish players in the 2026 World Cup final, has been suspended for 10 matches and fined $90,000, while Nahuel Molina has been suspended for 7 matches and fined $90,000.

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has penalized several players due to the incidents that occurred during the 2026 World Cup final played between Argentina and Spain. 

PAREDES: 10-MATCH BAN AND FINE

Argentine Leandro Paredes, who attacked opposing players after the final whistle, received a 10-match ban and a $90,000 fine, while Nahuel Molina was also given a 7-match ban and a $90,000 fine.

AYALA ALSO GETS 2-MATCH BAN

Meanwhile, Argentina's assistant coach Roberto Ayala was also handed a 2-match ban. Additionally, Thiago Almada and Gavi each received a 1-match ban.
