Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian, who is fighting against the US-Israel partnership, made a statement following the missiles and drones that fell in Turkey and Azerbaijan. Pezeshkian said, "We have no enmity with the countries in the region, and I apologize to our neighbors. There will be no military intervention in neighboring countries unless there is an attack on Iran."

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian made a statement on the 8th day of the ongoing war with the US and Israel, following missile and drone strikes that hit Turkey and Azerbaijan.

ATTACKS WERE CARRIED OUT ON TURKEY AND AZERBAIJAN

Developments on the 5th and 6th days of the war had drawn the attention of the international community to Turkey and Azerbaijan. A missile was fired towards Turkey from Iranian territory, and a drone attack was carried out on Nakhchivan, raising tensions in the region. The Iranian government later stated that the attacks on the two countries were not carried out by them. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held Israel responsible for the attack in Nakhchivan. Azerbaijani President Aliyev, in his statement regarding the attacks, used strong language and said he expected an apology.

PEZESHKIAN: WE APOLOGIZE TO OUR NEIGHBORS

Following these words, the expected step came from Iranian President Pezeshkian. Pezeshkian said, "We have no enmity with the countries of the region, I apologize to our neighbors. There will be no military intervention in neighboring countries unless there is an attack on Iran. Our armed forces acted independently to defend the honor of the country."
