The fire occurred at night in an apartment on 1067 Street in İstiklal Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, citizens who saw flames rising from an apartment reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the notice, fire, health, and police teams were dispatched to the area. Teams from the Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department, who arrived at the scene in a short time, intervened in the flames while police teams took security measures around the area. The teams that intervened in the fire brought out a woman named D. Çiçek, who was in the house, injured. After the first intervention by health teams, the woman was taken to the hospital by ambulance and received treatment.

During the fire department's work in the house, the lifeless body of Mazlum Çiçek, the husband of D. Çiçek, was found. The body of Çiçek, who lost his life in the fire, was taken to the morgue for necessary procedures after the crime scene investigation.
