Last November, Dilan Polat was arrested on charges of tax evasion and money laundering. After the MASAK report on August 18, she was released. Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç spoke for the first time about Dilan Polat's release.

Yılmaz Tunç, who was a guest on CNN Türk with Hakan Çelik, emphasized the need to trust the judicial system regarding Polat's release and said the following: "Our prosecutors conducted this investigation meticulously. In particular, money laundering, illegal gambling, these crimes are financial crimes, tax crimes. The source that the judiciary will especially resort to and where it can obtain technical reports as an expert is MASAK. The investigation was advanced with preliminary reports from MASAK. Then, a detailed examination was conducted by MASAK. Based on the points specified in the MASAK reports, the court made a decision.
"NOT ALL SUSPECTS WERE RELEASED"
It is not the case that all suspects in the file were released. It would not be right to make statements like 'Why was she released?' or 'Why was she arrested?' without knowledge of the content of the file. Let's leave the judiciary alone, let the judiciary do its job. This investigation was opened with suspicion of a crime, and since a trial has also been opened, there are some strong evidence. Based on the evidence that emerges, expert reports, MASAK reports, the judiciary will decide who will continue to be detained within the scope of that file."
