THE TIE IS DECIDED IN THE SECOND LEG
The home side started the second half with a shot from Lewie Coyle that narrowly went over the crossbar, while the visiting team came close to scoring in the 69th minute when Camiel Neghli's shot hit the post and went out. In the 85th minute, a goal scored by Millwall's Leonard was disallowed due to a foul in the buildup.
Despite both teams scoring 4 goals each in their two league meetings this season, the first leg of the play-off semi-final ended goalless.
The second leg of the match will be played on Monday, May 11, at Millwall's home ground. The team that advances from this round will compete in the final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, May 23, for a chance to be promoted to the Premier League.
The other two teams competing in the play-off final are Southampton and Middlesbrough, who finished the league in 4th and 5th places respectively. Hull City has reached the play-offs twice in its history, in 2008 and 2016, and succeeded in gaining promotion to the Premier League on both occasions.
