The Chairman of the National Defense Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and AK Party Kayseri Deputy Hulusi Akar made strong statements denying the claims of journalist Nevşin Mengü and Victory Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ. Akar announced that he would file a criminal complaint against the mentioned individuals, stating, "No one can carry out a character assassination for the sake of personal PR and ratings."

Hulusi Akar announced that he would file a criminal complaint in response to the allegations made by Nevşin Mengü and the President of the Victory Party, Ümit Özdağ, through lieutenants.

In a statement on his social media account regarding the allegations against him, Akar said, "No one can carry out a character assassination for the sake of personal PR and ratings. It is unacceptable for a so-called journalist to disseminate fabricated, completely fictional information that has no connection to reality, produced entirely at a desk. We condemn those who disregard the principles of press ethics and those lacking intellectual integrity!"

"WE WILL HOLD ACCOUNTABLE BOTH THOSE WHO THROW STONES INTO THE WELL AND THOSE WHO JUMP IN AFTER THEM"

Akar stated that baseless allegations would find a legal response, adding in his post, "We did not and will not allow those who have made irresponsibility and low standards their profession to occupy the public's attention. We will hold accountable both those who throw stones into the well and those who jump in after the stones within the framework of the law."

LEGAL PROCESS WILL BE INITIATED

Hulusi Akar emphasized that these allegations are completely unfounded and noted that a legal process would be initiated against both Mengü and Özdağ. In his statement, he reminded the press of their responsibilities and stated that such misleading shares to the public are unacceptable.

DETAILS OF THE ALLEGATIONS

Nevşin Mengü alleged that Hulusi Akar met with MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli and claimed that the young lieutenants were members of the Victory Party. Mengü claimed that Akar incited Bahçeli against the young lieutenants through the Victory Party after an incident that occurred on August 30.

Ümit Özdağ, the President of the Victory Party, who shared Mengü's allegations, stated, "The sources I consulted claimed that Hulusi Akar is stirring up trouble through young lieutenants to become the Minister of National Defense again," emphasizing that these allegations are very serious and that the Victory Party will closely monitor the issue.
