Ekrem İmamoğlu, reacting to the decision to cancel the 38th Ordinary Congress of the CHP, stated that the decision, which he described as a "coup attempt", is "null and void", saying, "The matter is serious. It is above parties. It is time for the nation to stand up for Turkey."
The 36th Civil Chamber of the Ankara Regional Court of Appeals has ruled for 'absolute nullity' in the CHP congress case. According to the decision, current Chairman Özgür Özel and his administration are temporarily suspended from duty, while former Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and his administration will return to office.
İMAMOĞLU: IT IS NULL AND VOID
Following the decision, the first statement came from Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was arrested in the investigation into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) and subsequently suspended from his position.
In a statement shared on his social media account named "Presidential Candidate Office," İmamoğlu said, "The nullity decision taken is null and void."

İmamoğlu's statement is as follows: "We are determined to fight together against the political coups carried out by the Erdoğan mentality through the judiciary. The nullity decision taken is null and void. It is not just a coup against the CHP; it is a coup against Turkey, democracy, and the Republic. It is the destruction of the constitutional order. The matter is serious. It is above parties. It is time for the nation to stand up for Turkey."
