US President Donald Trump answered questions from members of the press after his election rally in South Carolina. Stating that they were not negotiating with Iran, Trump said, “One way or another, something will happen soon.” In his speech at the rally, Trump mentioned that he wanted to name one of the Atlantic or Pacific oceans “Trump” or “America.” He also said that he had discussed this matter with Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai.

US President Donald Trump said they are not conducting negotiations with Iran and stated that a development would occur soon. Trump also reminded that there are those who think this will happen after the elections.

“I DON’T THINK WE ARE NEGOTIATING WITH IRAN”

Trump attended a rally in South Carolina due to the congressional midterm elections on November 3. Then, before leaving the state, he answered reporters’ questions at the airport. In response to a question about whether they were negotiating with Iran, Trump replied, “I don’t think we are negotiating with Iran. One way or another, something will happen soon. Many people think it will happen after the elections; we’ll see what happens.”

“WE WANT THE IMPACT TO LAST A LONG TIME”

In his speech at the rally, Trump claimed that the tension with Iran would soon end. The US President said, “We can leave (the region) now, but we want the impact (of the strikes) to last a long time.”

THE IDEA OF RENAMING THE ATLANTIC OCEAN

In his speech, Trump said he wanted to name one of the Atlantic or Pacific Oceans “Trump” or “America.” He stated that they were seriously considering renaming the Atlantic Ocean. Trump also said he had discussed this matter with Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google’s parent company Alphabet.

“PLEASE DON’T ASK US TO DO THIS”

According to Trump, Pichai said the oceans were different and said, “Please don’t ask us to do this.” Trump said, “I’ll probably drop this issue.” He also added, jokingly, that if they named the Pacific Ocean the “American Ocean,” European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen would call him.
