A couple, Nazım and Özlem Özayyıldız, who got married two months ago in Küçükçekmece, had a dispute. Özlem Özayyıldız lost her life after her husband, Nazım Özayyıldız, attacked her with a punch, causing her to hit her head on the marble. It was reported that Özayyıldız, who was taken into custody, stated in his testimony that during the argument, his wife said, "You cheated on me, and I cheated on you too," and that this was the reason the dispute began.
A terrible incident occurred around 00:00 on the first floor of a four-story building located on Gülçiçek Street in the Halkalı Central Neighborhood of Küçükçekmece district in Istanbul. Nazım Özayyıldız and Özlem Özayyıldız, who got married two months ago, started arguing for an unknown reason.
HIS WIFE, WHOM HE PUNCHED, LOST HER LIFE
During the argument, Nazım Özayyıldız punched his wife in the kitchen. The woman lost consciousness after hitting her head on the marble floor. Nazım Özayyıldız's uncle, who lived on the upper floor, came to the apartment after hearing the noise and knocked on the door. When Nazım Özayyıldız opened the door, he told his uncle that he was fighting with his wife. Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the house. The medical teams determined that Özlem Özayyıldız had lost her life.
HE CLUNG TO THE "CHEATING" EXCUSE
After the investigation, the body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institution. The police also detained Nazım Özayyıldız. It was learned that the suspect stated in his testimony at the police station that during the argument, his wife told him, "You cheated on me, I cheated on you too," and that a scuffle ensued between them because of this.
“WE REALIZED HE KILLED HIS WIFE”
Neighborhood resident Pınar Baydemir said, "I got up around 03:00 last night, there was an ambulance at the door. There were police teams. At first, I didn't understand what was happening, but then when I looked from the balcony, I saw the woman lying on the kitchen floor. When I saw the woman in that condition, I realized she was dead. Later, a funeral vehicle came and took the woman away. We understood that he killed his wife as a result of an argument between the spouses. There were eggs on our car. We thought this happened during the fight," she said.
