A scandal threatening public health has been uncovered during food inspections in Kırklareli. In a cold storage facility operating without registration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, 4 tons and 652 kilograms of red meat stored in violation of hygiene rules were confiscated, and legal action has been initiated against the business.
In the town of Büyükkarıştıran, connected to the Lüleburgaz district of Kırklareli, 4 tons and 652 kilograms of red meat stored in unsuitable conditions were seized from a cold storage facility operating without registration.
During inspections conducted by technical personnel of the Kırklareli Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry in the region, a scandalous situation disregarding public health was uncovered.
IT WAS OPERATING WITHOUT A LICENSE
In official checks carried out at an address in the town of Büyükkarıştıran, it was determined that the facility was operating as a standalone cold storage without any registration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
THEY VIOLATED THE COLD CHAIN RULE
Teams examining the storage found that the red meat stored there was kept in extremely unsuitable and unhygienic conditions, failing to comply with cold chain requirements. A total of 4 tons and 652 kilograms of red meat, which would have been released to the market and fed to the public if not caught, was seized by the teams.
Following the identified scandalous negligence and regulatory violations, legal proceedings were initiated against the illegal facility under relevant laws.
