I have been waiting for the insurance to arrive for 3.5 hours. If I haven't called at all, I must have called 10 times. The inside of the car is half full of water."

The downpour that started in the morning hours in Istanbul caused the stream to overflow in Başakşehir Güvercintepe Neighborhood. Traffic stopped as the waters of the overflowing stream spread onto the road. While some of the vehicles stranded on the road were rescued with the help of tow trucks, long vehicle queues formed in the area.

"THE INSIDE OF THE CAR IS FULL OF WATER"

Selahattin Paker, who was stranded on the road full of rainwater with his car, said, "We were coming from below around 09:30-09:45, there was nothing. Vehicles were in a heavy situation. Right around the truck, while passing the truck, suddenly 1-1.5 meters of water came over us. Everyone was surprised of course, and I was behind a bus. When the bus got stuck here, I got very worried, to tell the truth, suddenly the water came from here like a river. The car stayed here. Then this is what happened. I have been waiting for the insurance to come for 3.5 hours. If I haven't called at all, I must have called 10 times. The inside of the car is half full of water," he said.
