With the sudden decision taken by Beyaz TV management, the channel's Ankara news center was closed, and the Beyaz Main News bulletin presented by Hande Sarıoğlu was taken off the air. Sarıoğlu, who closed her home in Istanbul and moved to Ankara just before the decision, announced that she was unemployed, saying, "An era has ended."
A surprising development occurred in television broadcasting. With the decision made by Beyaz TV management, the channel's news center in Ankara has been shut down. Following this decision, the long-running Beyaz Ana Haber slot was completely removed from the broadcast schedule.
The news was announced by the bulletin's presenter, Hande Sarıoğlu, with an emotional farewell post on her social media account.
“I HAD MOVED TO ANKARA JUST A WEEK AGO”
The most striking detail in the process was that Sarıoğlu, in line with her career plan, had made a radical decision just a week earlier, closed her home in Istanbul, and moved to Ankara. The famous presenter, who encountered the decision to close the news center right after she had settled in, shared the surprise development with her followers.
In her post, Sarıoğlu said, “Just a week ago I closed my home in Istanbul, and just when I thought I had settled in Ankara, life's surprises never end. Together with these sparkling colleagues you see, Beyaz Ana Haber was on your screens for the last time from 18:30 to 19:30. With the decision to close our news center in Ankara, the Beyaz Ana Haber slot has now been taken off the air on Beyaz TV as well, and an era has ended...” she said.
“I'M COMING BACK, ISTANBUL—ARE YOU BIG, OR AM I?”
Expressing her loyalty to her teammates and stating that she was saying goodbye by adding her successes to her memories, Sarıoğlu completed her post with a message about returning to Istanbul.
The successful presenter, who stated that she had to close the Ankara chapter, gave the signal of her new era in Istanbul with the words, “My fellow travelers, may your road be bright, it is an honor for me to walk this road with you. Now, on my own path, it is time to close the Ankara chapter and open a new page in Istanbul again... I'm coming back, Istanbul—are you big, or am I?”
