In the tragic accident that occurred when a pickup truck went out of the driver's control and rolled down a cliff from a height of several meters in the Yayladere district of Bingöl, 3 people lost their lives, and 2 others were seriously injured. Numerous search and rescue and health teams were dispatched to the scene.
The accident occurred near the Akçadamlar neighborhood of the Yayladere district. According to the information obtained, the pickup truck with license plate 12 AAE 897, whose driver's name has not yet been learned, was in motion when it failed to take a turn, lost steering control, and went out of control. The veering vehicle rolled down a deep cliff by the roadside, tumbling over.
3 PEOPLE DIED AT THE SCENE
Nearby citizens, upon witnessing the horrific accident, immediately notified the authorities. Following the report, gendarmerie, health, AFAD, and UMKE teams were dispatched to the area shortly after. Rescue teams descending the steep cliff determined that 3 people inside the vehicle had tragically died at the scene. The 2 individuals who survived the accident with injuries were extracted from the cliff with intense efforts by the teams and carried to ambulances.
THE INJURED WERE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL
After initial interventions at the scene, the injured were transferred with an emergency code to Adaklı Community Health Center, and following further initial treatment there, they were referred to Bingöl State Hospital by ambulances for medical care. It was learned that the condition of the injured remains serious.
The lifeless bodies of the 3 people who lost their lives in the accident were taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy procedures after detailed examinations at the scene by the public prosecutor and gendarmerie teams.
Gendarmerie teams deepened their investigations by taking security measures in the area where the accident occurred. A comprehensive investigation into the incident has been launched.
