Iran cut off electricity to 1,103 homes that did not comply with energy conservation warnings. Authorities have made various calls to the public to reduce energy consumption.

In Iran, following warnings to subscribers about energy conservation to ensure the continuity and fair distribution of energy, the electricity of 1103 homes in Tehran was cut off due to excessive consumption.

According to the Iranian official agency IRNA, the Tehran Electricity Network Monitoring and Observation Center made a statement regarding subscribers who did not comply with energy conservation warnings and continued to consume excessively.

THE ELECTRICITY OF 1103 HOMES WAS CUT OFF

The statement noted that subscribers were warned to engage in energy conservation to ensure the continuity and fair distribution of electricity in the country, and it was recorded that the electricity of 1103 homes in Tehran, which ignored the warnings and continued excessive consumption, was cut off.

In the statement, thanks were given to subscribers who contributed to ensuring energy continuity by adhering to calls for conservation, and the public was asked to help the electricity sector by reducing electricity consumption through methods such as reducing excessive lighting, operating air conditioners at appropriate levels, not running high-energy-consuming electrical appliances simultaneously, and using appliances like washing machines, dishwashers, and irons at night.

PENALTIES WERE ALSO IMPOSED ON PUBLIC INSTITUTIONS

The statement indicated that subscribers who engaged in excessive consumption would be warned, and if they did not heed these warnings, their electricity would be cut off.

Previously, the electricity of dozens of public institutions and organizations that were consuming excessively had also been cut off in the country.
