6 suspects, accused of listening to police communication frequencies in Malatya with amateur radios and impersonating police personnel, were caught in an operation. During the operation, an unlicensed pistol, numerous radios, and frequency devices were seized.
In Malatya, 6 suspects were caught who were allegedly listening to police communication frequencies with amateur radios and introducing themselves as police personnel in public areas.
THEY LISTENED TO POLICE RADIOS
According to a written statement from the Provincial Police Department, within the scope of the work carried out by the Public Order Branch teams, it was determined that some individuals were listening to communication frequencies belonging to the police organization through amateur radios and trying to create the perception that they were police personnel in public areas.
6 PEOPLE CAUGHT
Teams conducting operations at identified addresses seized 2 unlicensed pistols, 70 rounds of ammunition, 50 handheld radios, 15 desktop radios, 5 radio frequency tuning devices, and 1 Morse code device, and caught 6 suspects.
Judicial proceedings were initiated against the suspects for "Violation of the Electronic Communication Law No. 5809" and related legislation.
