The cat hit by a motorcycle in Osmaniye writhed in pain on the ground for minutes before dying. The incident, in which the motorcycle rider continued on his way without stopping, was captured by an apartment building's security camera.
THE RIDER DID NOT TURN AND LOOK BACK
The incident occurred in Ulaşlı Neighborhood in central Osmaniye. According to the information obtained, the cat hit by a motorcycle traveling down the street was thrown to the ground by the impact. While the motorcycle rider continued on his way without stopping, the cat, which passersby also did not notice, writhed in pain for minutes before dying. The events were recorded second by second by a security camera on a nearby apartment building.
Apartment resident Mehmet Taşer (47), who noticed the cat's lifeless body on the street, was confronted with the painful truth when he examined the security camera footage. Seeing that the cat had agonized for minutes after the collision, Taşer reacted to what had happened.
IF HE HAD REPORTED IT, HE WOULD HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE VET
Mehmet Taşer, saying that feeding a cat is truly as valuable as raising a child, said, "I have had a love for animals since childhood. When I was a child, I had cats and dogs. Since I have lived here for a long time, we constantly feed the cats in this area. When I followed the camera footage back and looked, I saw that the motorcyclist took the cat under his front wheel and went right over its head. The motorcycle loses its balance a little, coming to the point of falling. Even though he was aware of this incident, he does not even turn and look back, so it is truly a sad incident; after all, it carries a life. This animal is also one of God's silent servants. If the motorcycle rider had turned back and come in such a situation, or had told the building residents, I was at home. I also had a car. I would have taken that cat to the nearest veterinarian and had the necessary procedures done. But when I saw the cat dead from the balcony 1-2 hours later, I was truly very upset. Feeding a cat is truly as valuable as raising a child."
