On Thursday, October 29, due to Republic Day, Marmaray, the Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme line, and the Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport-Halkalı metro in Istanbul, Başkentray in Ankara, and İZBAN in Izmir will provide free service. The decision was published in the Official Gazette; Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that the lines will be free all day.

Başkentray, Marmaray, İZBAN, the Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme Rail System Line, and the Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport-Halkalı Metro Line will provide free service on October 29 Republic Day.

The Presidential Decision on the matter was published in the Official Gazette. Accordingly, citizens will be able to benefit from the services on these lines free of charge on Thursday, October 29.

Under the decision, Marmaray, the Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme Rail System Line, and the Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport-Halkalı Metro in Istanbul, Başkentray in Ankara, and İZBAN in Izmir will be free.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu also stated in his written statement that urban rail system lines affiliated with the ministry in Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir will provide free service on October 29.

Uraloğlu said, “The lines in question will provide all our citizens with fast, easy, and economical transportation throughout the day.”
