2 people died and 10 others were injured when a passenger minibus on the Çerkezköy-Kapaklı-Beylikdüzü line went out of control and overturned into a field in Silivri, Istanbul.
A minibus veered out of control and crashed into a field in Istanbul's Silivri district.
2 DEAD, 10 INJURED
The minibus operating on the Çerkezköy-Kapaklı-Beylikdüzü line, traveling on Çerkezköy Road in Çeltik Mahallesi, overturned into a grassy area by the roadside for an undetermined reason. Upon notification, health, fire, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. Two people lost their lives in the accident, and 10 people were injured.
TEAMS CONTINUE WORK AT THE ACCIDENT SITE
A security cordon has been set up in the area where the accident occurred, and teams are continuing their work on site. Silivri District Governor Tolga Toğan and District Gendarmerie Commander Major Burak Çevik conducted inspections in the accident area.
"INJURED TAKEN TO HOSPITALS"
Meanwhile, Istanbul Provincial Health Director Abdullah Emre Güner stated in a post on his social media account regarding the accident, "Following the minibus accident in Silivri, our 112 Emergency Health teams were quickly dispatched to the scene. Two of our citizens lost their lives in the accident, and 10 of our citizens were injured. Initial interventions for our injured were carried out by our teams at the scene, and their transfer to nearby hospitals is being ensured." Güner extended condolences to those who lost their lives and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
