In the case heard at the Bakırköy 15th Heavy Penal Court, a verdict was reached regarding Muhammed Yusuf Kazıcı, who was found to have sent threatening messages to the family of 17-year-old Atlas Çağlayan, who was killed in Güngören. The court sentenced the defendant to a total of 6 years and 8 months in prison.
“IF YOU DO NOT PAY THE DEBT WITHIN 48 HOURS, I WILL KILL YOU”
During the hearing, mother Gülhan Ünlü stated that the defendant sent her messages saying, “Your son owes me 40 thousand lira. If you do not pay within 48 hours, I will kill you,” and added that food couriers, police, and firefighters were directed to her home. Ünlü, who said she did not know the defendant, expressed that she filed a complaint.

The defendant, Muhammed Yusuf Kazıcı, who made his defense via SEGBIS, said, “I extend my condolences to the family of the deceased. I am very sorry for what I did.”
6 YEARS 8 MONTHS PRISON SENTENCE
The court panel sentenced the defendant to 4 years and 2 months for the crime of “aggravated robbery” and 2 years and 6 months for the crime of “unlawfully obtaining personal data.” For the crime of “disturbing the peace and tranquility of individuals,” a 2-month and 15-day sentence was given, but the court decided to suspend the announcement of the verdict.
