BECAME A GRAVE FOR 10 PEOPLE
The building, which turned into rubble, became a grave for 10 people. The Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit against the building's construction engineer Abdullah Yeldan for the crime of "causing the death of multiple people through conscious negligence."
SEVENTH HEARING HELD
The seventh hearing of the Beluk Apartment case was held at the Adana 10th High Criminal Court. Families of those who lost their loved ones in the earthquake, party lawyers, were present in the courtroom. The hearing was also followed by CHP Adana Deputy Müzeyyen Şevkin, as well as the managers of the Contemporary Lawyers Association Adana Branch, the Labor Party, Büro-İş Adana Representation, and the We Will Stop Femicide Platform.
REJECTION OF ARREST REQUEST
According to the information obtained, the expected expert report was not submitted to the file. In the hearing, Oğuz Soyubey, who lost his wife and children in the building, requested the arrest of defendant Yeldan, who was placed under "house arrest" with an electronic bracelet, stating that he violated the judicial control provisions.
The court panel rejected the request for Yeldan's arrest and postponed the case to September 18.
