During the first 24 hours of the U.S.-initiated naval blockade targeting Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz, it was determined that four ships passed through. It was learned that one ship unloaded cargo at Iran's Imam Khomeini Port, while the passage of two tankers also on the sanctions list drew attention.
In the first 24 hours after the US initiated a naval blockade targeting vessels entering and exiting Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz, four ships were observed passing through the Strait.
PASSED THROUGH HORMUZ AND UNLOADED CARGO IN IRAN
According to information obtained by the AA correspondent from the real-time ship tracking system MarineTraffic, the Liberian-flagged cargo ship Christianna passed through the Strait of Hormuz yesterday at 20:16 Turkey time, then unloaded cargo at Iran's Imam Khomeini Port, and is currently located in the Gulf of Oman.
The vessel Rich Starry, owned by the company Shanghai Xuanrun Shipping Co LTD, also passed through the Strait of Hormuz after the blockade began.
TWO TANKERS ON THE SANCTIONS LIST ALSO PASSED THROUGH HORMUZ
The petroleum/chemical products tanker Rich Starry, which is on the US sanctions list, is currently in the Gulf of Oman, but it appears the ship has made a U-turn again at its location.
Another tanker on the sanctions list, Murlikishan, is also among the ships that passed through the Strait of Hormuz after the US blockade began. The Cook Islands-flagged asphalt/bitumen tanker transited from the Gulf of Oman to the Persian Gulf.
It is estimated that Murlikishan is heading towards Iraq to load fuel oil.
The Panama-flagged medium-range petroleum/chemical products tanker Peace Gulf entered the Strait of Hormuz from the Gulf of Oman side and is heading towards Hamriyah Port in the United Arab Emirates.
Thus, in the first 24 hours of the US blockade, four ships, two of which are on the sanctions list, passed through the Strait of Hormuz.
The Comoros-flagged petroleum/chemical products tanker Elpis passed through the Strait of Hormuz just before the blockade began, around 16:00 Turkey time. The ship has been in the Gulf of Oman for over 13 hours. It is estimated that Elpis loaded cargo from a port in Iran.
