Ünsal Ban, who was subject to a detention order as part of an investigation launched due to allegations of market fraud in some transactions on the Borsa İstanbul (BIST) Equity Market, was captured in Fethiye.

The investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes Bureau is ongoing regarding allegations of manipulative actions in the shares of certain capital market instruments traded on the BIST Equity Market.

Ünsal Ban, who was subject to a detention order as part of the investigation, was captured by security forces in Fethiye. Furthermore, Ünsal Ban was the former Rector of the Turkish Aeronautical Association University. Additionally, Ban was the ex-husband of former AK Party Member of Parliament Zehra Taşkesenlioğlu.
