In the operation organized by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the Süleymancıs, 30 suspects, including Alihan Kuriş, who is considered to be the leader of the organization, were detained. In studies regarding the financial and commercial connections of the criminal organization, 32 companies were identified. Among these companies is the famous modest fashion brand Armine.
As part of the investigation conducted by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a large-scale operation was launched this morning against the criminal organization for profit, which includes Alihan Kuriş, known as the leader of the Süleymancıs.
ORGANIZATION, MONEY LAUNDERING, FRAUD, TAX EVASION...
An investigation was initiated against the criminal organization for profit, led by Alihan Kuriş, for the crimes of "establishing and managing a criminal organization," "being a member of a criminal organization," "money laundering," "fraud to the detriment of public institutions and organizations," and "violation of the tax procedure law."
Within the scope of the investigation, it was decided to detain a total of 49 suspects, some of whom were determined to be abroad, and to conduct searches and seizures at 43 addresses belonging to the suspects and 80 addresses belonging to 33 companies. In the operation, 30 suspects, including Alihan Kuriş, were detained. Efforts to capture the other suspects continue.
FAMOUS HIJAB BRAND ON THE LIST
The names of the 33 companies subject to the search and seizure order have also been revealed. One company on this list drew particular attention.
Armine, a famous brand known across Turkey operating in the field of hijab clothing for women, is included in the financial and commercial wing of the operation against the Süleymancıs.
Among the 33 companies for which the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office ordered searches and seizures within the scope of the operation is "Armine Giyim Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi."
FAMOUS SHOE BRAND ALSO ON THE LIST
Another famous brand drawing attention is also on the list of companies. This brand is "Ayakkabı Dünyası," which operates in the footwear sector.
The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office also issued a search and seizure order for "Ayakkabı Dünyası Kundura Sanayi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi" in connection with the organization.
FINDINGS
In the examinations conducted by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office at the registered and operational addresses of the companies, it was determined that 14 companies operate in Istanbul, 14 in Sakarya, and the others in Ankara, Antalya, Bolu, and Kocaeli, and that many companies with different trade names and fields of activity use the same or interconnected addresses.
It was identified that in Istanbul, especially some addresses in Üsküdar, Ümraniye, and their surroundings are used by more than one company; in Sakarya, many different companies are registered at addresses in Arifiye 1st Organized Industrial Zone, Hanlı Merkez Neighborhood, and some business center addresses in Adapazarı.
