In an official statement made by the Aude Prefecture, it was reported that the tornado caused serious destruction in the region and that due to the adverse weather conditions, electricity could not be supplied to approximately 2,000 households across the province. While transportation disruptions were experienced in the region, some roads were closed to traffic for security reasons, and 40 people were injured, 2 of them seriously. Search and rescue, road opening, and power line repair efforts initiated by the teams on the field are ongoing.
