In the third wave operation conducted within the scope of the investigation into the Şile Municipality, 16 of the 18 suspects, for whom detention warrants were issued, were apprehended. It was learned that among those detained was Berkant Acil, the brother of artist Haluk Levent.
A third wave operation was carried out in the Şile Municipality investigation conducted by the Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the crimes of "establishing and being a member of an organization for the purpose of committing crimes," "bribery," "extortion," and "bid rigging."
It was stated that new evidence was obtained during the investigations into the profit-oriented criminal organization allegedly led by Şile Mayor Özgür Kabadayı as part of the investigation.
HALUK LEVENT'S BROTHER ALSO DETAINED
It was reported that new evidence regarding 6 different actions was obtained as a result of the joint evaluation of effective remorse statements, statements from individuals with knowledge, seized documents, mobile phone examination reports, HTS records, and account movements within the scope of the investigation.
Simultaneous operations were carried out at a total of 21 addresses in Istanbul and Izmir against 18 suspects who were stated to have reasonable suspicion of crimes.
While 16 suspects were detained in the operation, it was learned that among those detained was Berkant Acil, the brother of artist Haluk Levent.
2 SUSPECTS FUGITIVE
It was reported that 16 of the 18 suspects, for whom detention warrants were issued within the scope of the operation, were captured, while efforts to capture the 2 fugitive suspects continue.
