At the funeral of Mevlüt Bacaksız, who lost his life in a bull attack in Aydın, a person shouted, “I do not forgive him.” As relatives in the front rows turned back toward the direction of the voice, the imam asked the person the reason, but received no response. After the reactions, the person who claimed not to grant forgiveness left the area.
Mevlüt Bacaksız (64), who was severely injured in a bull attack while caring for the animal in İncirliova district of Aydın and lost his life after a 51-day struggle, was laid to rest. A moment during the funeral drew attention.
The incident occurred on March 17 in a plum orchard on Karabağ Street, Hürriyet Neighborhood. Bull breeder Mevlüt Bacaksız was attacked by the bull he was caring for. Rescued with the help of bystanders, Bacaksız was taken to Aydın State Hospital after initial first aid by medical teams. Bacaksız, found to have multiple rib fractures, was placed in intensive care. However, he succumbed to his injuries after a 51-day fight for life.

Bacaksız's funeral prayer was held at Çarşı Mosque after Friday prayers. Following the prayer, the imam asked the crowd for forgiveness (helallik). At that moment, a person from the crowd shouted, "I do not forgive my rights." Relatives in the front rows turned toward the direction of the voice, and the imam asked the person for the reason, but received no response.

After the reactions, the person who said they would not grant forgiveness left the area. Mevlüt Bacaksız's body was carried on shoulders for a while before being taken to İncirliova Asri Cemetery for burial.
