INSPECTION AT FOOD WAREHOUSE REVEALS DISGRACE
According to a statement from Kepez Municipality, municipal police teams conducted an inspection of a business operating as a food warehouse in the Yükseliş neighborhood. During the inspection, which was attended by teams from the District Directorate of Agriculture, Food, and Livestock, and the Kepez District Police Department, it was determined that some food products lacked production location and production date information, while others had no expiration date or had expired.
EXACTLY 152 KILOGRAMS SEIZED
In the examinations, 152 kilograms of meat and meat products, deemed to be of a nature that could negatively affect public health, along with 20 containers of pickles, were seized.
The business was fined 26,360 Turkish lira by the District Directorate of Agriculture, Food, and Livestock and was sealed by teams from the Kepez Municipality Municipal Police Department.
In the statement, it was noted that consuming products without an expiration date or with expired dates could pose a health risk, and citizens were asked to report suspicious situations to the relevant units.
