The Ministry of National Education has determined the standards for the aprons that teachers are expected to wear during their duties in the 2026-2027 academic year. Following the directive sent to provinces under the signature of Minister Yusuf Tekin, the guide prepared includes criteria ranging from the design to the use of the aprons. It was requested that the implementation in public and private schools be monitored by provincial directorates of national education.
The Ministry of National Education published a guide regarding the aprons made mandatory for teachers.
In the circular titled "Procedures and Operations for the 2026-2027 Academic Year" sent to provinces this year with the signature of Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, it was emphasized that teachers will wear aprons while performing their duties.
LETTER SENT TO PROVINCES WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE CIRCULAR
In the letter sent by the Ministry to the provinces, it was reminded that "in the said circular, it was stated that education institution administrators, teachers, and education employees must uphold the dignity of the teaching profession, the responsibility of representation, and the quality of being role models for students while performing their duties; act in accordance with the decorum of the profession, the seriousness of public service, and social sensitivities in their attire, and wear aprons."
Additionally, in the letter, which noted that the circular stipulates that necessary information on the subject be provided and that the implementation be followed up by provincial directorates of national education, it was announced that the Teacher Apron Standards Guide had been prepared by determining standards regarding design, usage, and technical specifications to ensure unity of practice across the country in the aprons teachers will use during their duties.
In the letter, which stated that the guide includes standards for designing teacher aprons with a simple, functional, comfortable, and aesthetic approach, as well as usage criteria, it was requested that, within this framework, the aprons to be used by teachers working in official and private schools and institutions affiliated with the Ministry comply with the determined standards, necessary information on the subject be provided, and the implementation be monitored.
