In an inspection by municipal police teams in the Nurdağı district of Gaziantep, it was determined that the transport conditions of 80 kilograms of meat carried by a minibus on an intercity journey were not in compliance with regulations. All of the meat confiscated by the teams was destroyed after the necessary procedures. Nurdağı Mayor Mehmet Yıldırır announced that inspections regarding food safety will continue.
The 80 kilograms of meat unloaded from a minibus prompted municipal police teams to take action in Nurdağı district of Gaziantep. The meat, determined to have been transported under unsuitable conditions, was confiscated.
FOUND IN AN INTERCITY MINIBUS
Nurdağı Municipality municipal police teams carried out inspections in the district in order to protect citizens' health and ensure food safety. During the inspections, a minibus making an intercity journey was checked. 80 kilograms of meat were found in the vehicle. The teams began examining the conditions under which the meat was transported. As a result of the checks, it was determined that the products were not transported under conditions compliant with regulations.
80 KILOGRAMS OF MEAT CONFISCATED
Following the determination, the municipal police teams confiscated all of the meat transported under non-compliant conditions. After the necessary official procedures were completed, the 80 kilograms of meat were destroyed. Thus, it was prevented that products transported under unsuitable conditions would reach the consumer.
