SQUARE AND SURROUNDINGS CLOSED WITH BARRIERS
Istanbul Police Department teams formed a security perimeter around Kadıköy Rıhtım Square and its vicinity from early morning hours. The streets and avenues leading to the square were closed with iron barriers, and vehicular traffic was not allowed.
ENTRY WILL BE CONTROLLED
It was learned that citizens wishing to attend the celebrations will be allowed into the area through designated checkpoints. It was stated that police teams will conduct body searches at the entrances, and bag checks will also be carried out.
POLICE TEAMS ON EXTENSIVE DUTY
Riot police, public order, and traffic teams were heavily deployed at Kadıköy Pier Square, Rıhtım Street, and surrounding areas. Numerous police vehicles were kept ready in the region, and it was reported that the measures taken would continue throughout the day.
