TURKEY ALSO PARTICIPATED

The "Madrid Group" meeting, initiated by Spain, included representatives from European countries such as Germany, France, Italy, and Portugal, as well as Arab countries and international organizations like the Arab League and the European Union (EU). Turkey was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Nuh Yılmaz at the meeting, which was attended by foreign ministers and deputy foreign ministers of the countries.

DECISION ON ARMS EMBARGO FROM SPAIN

At the beginning of the meeting, Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares called on the EU to impose an arms embargo on Israel. Albares argued that remaining silent in the face of Israel's ongoing massacres against innocent Palestinians constitutes complicity, and he called for the immediate suspension of the EU-Israel Association Agreement and for stricter enforcement of arms restrictions against Israel.

"RAISE YOUR VOICE AGAINST THE BLOCKADE"

Albares stated that Spain does not overlook any options, including the imposition of specific sanctions on Israeli politicians, and emphasized that all rights granted to Israel should also be granted to the Palestinian state. He stressed that the only way forward is the implementation of a two-state solution, which is not against Israel and will ensure Israel's security.

Albares stated that Israel's actions have turned Gaza into a large graveyard and called on UN member countries to raise their voices against the blockade imposed by Israel on aid efforts to Gaza.

Albares defined the priorities of the Madrid Group meeting as urgently ending Israeli violence in Gaza, ensuring unconditional and unhindered access to humanitarian aid, and creating new momentum for a two-state solution.
