In the Akdeniz district of Mersin, 135 expired food products were seized at a chain market branch that was inspected following a complaint.
According to the statement from the Akdeniz Municipality, Zoning Department teams conducted an inspection at the chain market branch on Silifke Street in the Turgutreis neighborhood after a citizen's complaint.
THEY CONTINUED SELLING 135 EXPIRED FOOD ITEMS
Inspecting the shelves, teams determined that there were 135 food products past their expiration dates.
The market was fined 3,705 lira under the Misdemeanor Law No. 5326.
The collected products were taken into custody for destruction.
