In a new statement from the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, it was stated, "The Strait of Hormuz is closed, and attempts to pass through the strait will be met with a strong response." Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi had said in a statement a few days ago, "The Strait of Hormuz is open to countries that do not wage war against us."
Iran has once again used its biggest trump card in the war. The Strait of Hormuz has been closed to ship passage.
On the 27th day of the war, a new statement came from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. In the official statement made by the Public Relations Unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, it was stated that the passage of all ships heading to or coming from ports belonging to the "Israeli-American alliance" and its supporters is prohibited, regardless of the route.
"THREE CONTAINER SHIPS TURNED BACK THIS MORNING"
The statement reported that three container ships from different countries attempted to pass through the strait using the authorized corridors this morning. It was expressed that the ships in question had to turn back from their routes as a result of the intervention and warnings of the Revolutionary Guards Navy.
The Revolutionary Guards asserted that the statements from the US administration claiming "the Strait of Hormuz is open" do not reflect the truth, emphasizing that the strait is effectively closed. At the end of the statement, a message was given that elements attempting to use the strait in violation of the ban would face a "harsh response."
CIVILIANS URGED TO "LEAVE THE AREA"
The Revolutionary Guards also warned that attacks on US forces would continue and urged civilians in the countries of the region to immediately leave the areas where US soldiers are stationed. In the statement, it was claimed that the US is "trying to use innocent people in civilian areas as human shields by leaving its bases in the region under Iranian fire," and it was stated, "We recommend that you immediately leave the areas where American forces are stationed to avoid harm, as it is our duty to eliminate the American terrorist forces and the occupying regime that ruthlessly kill Iranian civilians and carry out assassinations wherever we find them."
Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated in a phone conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi the other day, "The Strait of Hormuz is open to everyone, and all ships can pass safely; however, this does not apply to countries that are at war with us."
US-ISRAEL ATTACKS ON IRAN
Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28 while negotiations were ongoing between the Tehran and Washington administrations.
Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in some regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel.
In the US-Israel attacks, former Iranian leader Ali Khamenei, as well as many high-ranking officials, were killed.
