The Iranian press denied reports that Iranian negotiators and the United States had reached a 60-day agreement on extending the ceasefire and the nuclear program. An Iranian official stated that the text of the agreement has not been finalized and that the claims are not true. Reports in the US press, however, said that Donald Trump's approval was pending for the agreement.

The Iranian press reported that the news in the US press about a 60-day agreement between US and Iranian negotiators to extend the ceasefire and hold talks on Iran's nuclear program is not true.

"THE CLAIM OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE US IS NOT TRUE"

An unnamed official from Iran's negotiation team with the US, speaking to the semi-official Tasnim News Agency, said, "The claims by some Western sources that the text of a so-called 'memorandum of understanding' between Iran and the terrorist regime of the US has been finalized and is only awaiting announcement by both sides are not true, and the text has not been completed yet."

The Iranian official stated that if the memorandum of understanding is finalized, Pakistan, the mediator of the negotiations, and the public will be informed.

"WAITING FOR TRUMP'S APPROVAL"

In a report by the American Axios news platform, citing two unnamed US officials, it was claimed that US and Iranian negotiators had reached a 60-day agreement to extend the ceasefire and hold talks on Iran's nuclear program.

It was reported that the agreement awaits approval from US President Donald Trump.

The report stated that in the first phase of the said memorandum text, the Strait of Hormuz would be opened to the passage of commercial ships without any restrictions, and in return, the US would lift the naval blockade imposed on Iranian ports.
