Following the 2-1 defeat in the Beşiktaş derby, Fenerbahçe Manager İsmail Kartal is preparing major changes to the squad ahead of the Roma match in the Champions League. It has been reported that Kartal plans to make four changes to the starting eleven by dropping Semedo, İrfan Can Kahveci, Oğuz Aydın, and Vedat Muriqi to the bench.
After Fenerbahce suffered a 2-1 defeat to Besiktas at home in the Super Lig, all eyes have turned to the UEFA Champions League match against Roma.
It has been reported that head coach Ismail Kartal, who was not pleased with the performance shown in the derby, is preparing to make significant changes to the starting eleven.
FOUR PLAYERS TO THE BENCH
It was stated that Ismail Kartal plans to drop Semedo, Irfan Can Kahveci, Oguz Aydin, and Vedat Muriqi, who started against Besiktas, to the bench for the Roma match. The experienced coach is expected to take the field with different choices instead of these four names.
MERT MULDUR AT RIGHT BACK
Kartal's first change in defense is planned to be at right back. Mert Muldur is expected to take the place of Semedo, who played in the Besiktas derby, against Roma.
ISMAIL YUKSEK IN MIDFIELD
Another change is expected in midfield. Ismail Yuksek is planned to be included in the starting eleven in place of Irfan Can Kahveci. Until the injured Marco Asensio returns, a new trio is expected to operate in midfield. Accordingly, Ismail Yuksek will play as the number six, while Kante and Guendouzi will play in central midfield.
KEREM OR NENE ON THE WING
A change is also on the agenda for the left wing. Either Kerem Akturkoglu or Nene is expected to start in place of Oguz Aydin. Kartal is expected to make his final decision after the training sessions before the Roma match.
MURIQI TO THE BENCH, LUKAKU ON THE PITCH
In the forward line, Vedat Muriqi is planned to be pulled back to the bench, with Lukaku being brought into the starting eleven. Thus, Ismail Kartal will make four changes at once against Roma compared to the Besiktas derby lineup.
