Gaziantep FK announced that İsmet Taşdemir has been appointed as the head coach. In a statement made on the club's official website, it was stated that our Gaziantep Football Club has signed a 1+1 year official contract with Head Coach İsmet Taşdemir. During the signing ceremony, which was attended by our Club President Memik Yılmaz and Vice President Halil Uğur, the experienced coach signed the contract that binds him to the red-black colors.
After a successful playing career, İsmet Taşdemir has achieved significant successes in his coaching career, leading Ankaragücü from the 2nd League to the 1st League in the 2016-2017 season, and Bodrum FK from the 2nd League to the 1st League, winning the play-off championship. Most recently, he made Kocaelispor the 1st League champion in the 2024-2025 season, promoting them to the Super League.
