The Israeli army conducted simultaneous military operations in Lebanon and Syria. While air and ground attacks were carried out on settlements in southern Lebanon, it was reported that Israeli soldiers entered a village in Syria's Quneitra province and raided a house.
The Israeli army expanded its military operations, carrying out simultaneous actions in both Lebanese and Syrian territory. Despite the ceasefire in effect in southern Lebanon, heavy bombardment and physical demolition work continued unabated, while in southwestern Syria, ground incursions and house raids were carried out.
STRUCK LEBANON FROM THE AIR AND GROUND
The advance of Israeli forces into Lebanese territory has in places exceeded 10 kilometers, and tensions in the region are rising day by day. It was reported that the Israeli army struck the towns of al-Mansuri and Buyut es-Siyad, affiliated with the city of Tyre, using warplanes, explosive-laden drones, and tank fire. According to reports from the region, military forces set some houses on fire, while drones dropped barrels filled with explosives over civilian residential areas. It was noted that Israeli units, not content with only air strikes, also used construction machinery to completely demolish numerous buildings in the town of Hula, affiliated with Marjeyoun.
HEAVY TOLL IN SOUTHERN LEBANON
In these operations, which have continued since March 2026 and have not stopped despite the ceasefire decision, it is stated that so far 4,350 people have lost their lives, 12,307 people have been injured, and over 1 million civilians have had to leave their homes. In addition to all these destructive ground and air attacks, Israeli drones conducting low-altitude flights over the skies of the capital Beirut, as well as the Dahiyeh and Zahrani areas, further escalates the psychological tension in the region.
GROUND INCURSION IN SYRIA
Alongside this intense activity on the Lebanese border, Israeli forces are also continuing their operations on the Syrian side without pause. It was reported that Israeli soldiers entered the village of Terence in the Quneitra province in southwestern Syria on foot, raided a house, and conducted a search. This hot development came immediately after the heavy air strikes carried out on August 18 against the Abu Zuhur Military Airfield in Idlib.
The shifting regional balances following the fall of the Baath regime in late 2024 resulted in Israel declaring the collapse of the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement and occupying the buffer zone on the Syrian side. Despite Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa recently announcing that they are working to sign a security agreement with Israel and aiming for comprehensive peace without compromising rights in the Golan Heights, the uninterrupted continuation of military operations and border violations on the ground is noteworthy.
