After the Israeli army attempted to land soldiers by helicopter near the town of Nabi Sheet, close to the Syrian border in Lebanon, there were intense clashes with Hezbollah forces. Four helicopters belonging to the Israeli army entered Lebanon from the direction of Syria last week, landing troops near the towns of El-Hariba and Maaraboun. Israeli soldiers attempting to advance on the ground clashed with Hezbollah forces near the town of Nabi Sheet.
Hezbollah had announced that Israel's infiltration attempt in the region had been repelled. It was reported that Israel conducted intense airstrikes with warplanes and helicopters to withdraw its troops from the area.

In a statement from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, it was announced that at least 41 people, including 3 Lebanese soldiers, had been killed in these Israeli attacks, and 40 others had been injured.
