The spokesperson of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Brigadier General Effie Defrin, stated in a press conference today that the Israeli Air Force continues its military operations against Iran and that the operation is still in its initial phase.
“As of this hour, the Israel Defense Forces continues to implement the operational plan. The goal is to reach the designated military and strategic points. At the same time, Israel's air defense is being maintained at the highest level,” said Defrin, noting that the operation is being conducted with a multi-layered strategy.
In response to a question during the press conference about how many days ballistic missile attacks from Iran could last, Defrin refrained from giving a specific timeframe, stating, “The operation has just begun. We are closely monitoring developments and are prepared for any response that may come from Iran.”
On the other hand, satellite images reported by the international press revealed that significant damage has occurred at Iran's nuclear facility located in Natanz. The images show that some structures have been completely destroyed and that the infrastructure in the area has been significantly damaged. Natanz is known as one of Iran's most important uranium enrichment centers.
It is reported that Israel aims to deal a serious blow to Iran's nuclear capacity and missile infrastructure with this operation. Targeting facilities like Natanz is interpreted as a strategic move aimed at disrupting Tehran's nuclear program.
