Israeli National Security Minister Ben-Gvir called on Prime Minister Netanyahu to oppose U.S. President Trump, who announced a "no-attack" agreement with Hezbollah. Speaking after claims that the planned strike on Beirut was blocked by the U.S., Ben-Gvir said, "It's time to say 'no' to our friend Trump. Free the hands of our fighters." Netanyahu previously stated that he had ordered an airstrike on Beirut's Dahieh district.

While intense hours unfold in the Middle East, a striking statement came from the far-right wing of the Israeli government targeting Prime Minister Netanyahu. Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called for opposing US President Donald Trump over the prevention of a possible military operation in Lebanon.

BEN-GVIR TO NETANYAHU: "TIME TO SAY 'NO' TO TRUMP"

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, in a post on social media platform X, targeted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, reacting to the halt of the Beirut attack. Referring to a past statement by Netanyahu, Ben-Gvir said:

"You said a strong prime minister says 'yes' to the US President when possible and 'no' when necessary. Now is the time to say 'no' to our friend, President Trump. Now is the time to strike Hezbollah and free the hands of our warriors."

WAS THE BEIRUT ATTACK STOPPED BY US-MADE BRAKES?

Israeli media previously claimed that Netanyahu had ordered the military to carry out airstrikes in the Dahieh district of Lebanon's capital Beirut, but this critical operation was prevented by a last-minute US intervention. Following this diplomatic traffic, US President Donald Trump announced that they had spoken with both Israel and Hezbollah, and that the parties had "agreed" not to attack each other.

IRAN SUSPENDS DIPLOMATIC TRAFFIC

A move also came from Iran amid the escalating tension in the region. The Tehran administration announced that it had completely halted the indirect message exchange with the US via mediators, citing the uninterrupted continuation of Israeli attacks on Lebanon. Ben-Gvir's latest move once again revealed the anti-ceasefire and anti-compromise pressure within the Israeli cabinet.
